Role Overview:
The IT Support Technician provides frontline technical assistance to users, ensuring smooth operation of hardware, software, and systems. This role is essential for resolving day-to-day IT issues and maintaining productivity across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to user queries and troubleshoot hardware/software issues
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
- Manage user accounts, passwords, and access permissions
- Support Microsoft 365, email systems, and basic cloud tools
- Maintain inventory of IT assets and assist with procurement
- Document support requests and resolutions in ticketing systems
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or external vendors
Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma or certificate in IT or Computer Support
- Familiarity with Windows OS, Office Suite, and basic networking
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with helpdesk software and remote support tools
