Role Overview:
The Networking Engineer designs, implements, and maintains the organization’s network infrastructure. This includes LAN/WAN systems, firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs — ensuring secure, high-performance connectivity across all environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
- Implement and maintain VPNs, VLANs, and network segmentation
- Ensure network security through firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access controls
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to detect and mitigate threats
- Document network architecture, configurations, and change logs
- Plan and execute network upgrades and expansions
Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Networking, IT, or Computer Science
- Certifications like CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or Fortinet NSE preferred
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols
- Experience with enterprise-grade networking hardware and monitoring tools
- Ability to work independently and manage complex infrastructure
